Polish People's Assemblies (Polish: Gromady Ludu Polskiego) was a Polish radical left-wing political group that emerged in the Great Emigration after the failed 1830 November Uprising. It was based on the Channel Islands and was active form 1835 to 1846. This group was the most revolutionary and radical in comparison to more moderate Polish Democratic Society and right-leaning H?tel Lambert.[1]
Leaders of this group were Stanis?aw Worcell, Tadeusz Kr?powiecki and Zenon ?wi?tos?awski.
It aimed to began a national uprising that will include peasants and will lead to liberation of both Poland from the Russian Empire and peasants from the noblemen (szlachta).[2]
After its dissolution in 1846, many members returned to the Polish Democratic Society.[3]
